Project WILD is an interdisciplinary conservation and environmental education program that focuses on wildlife and habitat. This training is designed for educators working with elementary age children. The goal of Project WILD is to develop awareness, knowledge, skills, and commitment to understanding wildlife and their habitat needs resulting in informed decisions, responsible behavior, and constructive actions. Activities included in the guide incorporate field investigation activities, STEM extensions and WILD work career connections. Participants attending the workshop will receive a FREE copy of the Project WILD Curriculum Guide and supplementary information on Virginia’s wildlife.
The program is a 1 day, 6 hour course from 9am-3:45pm with a 45 minute break for lunch. There are no restaurants close to Camp so bring a bag lunch. There will be drinks and snacks available and access to a kitchen. Please wear clothes and footwear appropriate for outdoor activities as some time will be spent outdoors.
